History of Gliding Stars of Central Florida

In May 2005, the local chapter of the National organization, based out of Buffalo, NY started on the ice in Orlando, FL. With guidance from Gliding Stars, Inc we began to create a presence within the Greater Orlando area and have recently transitioned to a local non profit organization as Gliding Stars of Central Florida in October 2022.

Development of a Board of Directors, an on ice Learn to Skate Director, a committed team of volunteers on and off the ice, as well as a vast number of contributors and supporters of our program, through the years, has allowed us to continue to build the future of on ice adaptive figure skating instructional program that provides equipment and support for individuals with disabilities.
