Becoming an Athlete
We are thrilled you have decided to participate with Gliding Stars of Central Florida, Inc. Our mission, as an independent, not-for-profit organization, is to provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to grow physically, socially, and emotionally. This is achieved through a volunteer-based program of adaptive ice-skating instruction. The program culminates in a public demonstration of those skills in a choreographed performance, which itself serves as a source of motivation, teamwork, and increased self-esteem.
This program creates "magic" to transcend barriers and accomplish dreams.
